Shooting the Pandion Collection for Osprey

Introducing the Pandion Collection: Urban Edge Meets Outdoor Intent

At the intersection of performance and modern style, Osprey's Pandion Collection is built for the urban trailblazer — the kind of explorer who moves fluidly between city streets and rugged footpaths. Clean lines, tech fabrics, and purposeful design define the range, and our goal with this shoot was to reflect that same spirit through a considered, editorial lens.

Shot at our Bournemouth studio, this was the first time Osprey had commissioned a full editorial-style studio shoot for one of their collections. It was an honour to be trusted to work collaboratively with them on the creative direction and delivery of such a project, especially given the new territory it represented for the brand. From concept to execution, we worked closely with the team to ensure the images aligned with their vision while pushing the aesthetic forward.

The response from both the UK and US teams was incredibly positive, and the resulting work has been rolled out across multiple channels.

Using the Fujifilm GFX 100s II: Clarity with Purpose

To meet the high standards required for a campaign of this scale, we shot using the Fujifilm GFX 100 II, a medium format powerhouse delivering 102MP resolution. This wasn’t just about sharpness — it was about flexibility. The ultra-high resolution allowed us to create imagery that could be used in a wide range of formats:

  • Large format print and trade show displays with zero compromise on detail

  • Cropped social and web formats without losing quality

  • And crucially, future-proofing the entire shoot with large master files for any re-use or repurposing later on

This workflow gave Osprey a complete, versatile asset library — from close-up product details to full-length lifestyle compositions — all from a single, consistent session.

Bringing the Vision to Life

Lighting was delivered using a mix of Godox QT1200 and AD600 flash heads in a large 12x12 booklight, creating a soft, controlled atmosphere that allowed the design of the packs and the texture of the clothing to take centre stage. We pre-visualised the shoot using Set.a.Light 3D to dial in our creative approach in advance — ensuring precision and efficiency on set.

Styling That Reflects Movement and Modernity

Models Masaki Y and Elizabeth S brought authenticity and quiet confidence to the camera, styled by Jake Hunt in contemporary, pared-back looks that resonate with the Pandion customer: urban, self-assured, and ready to roam. Their movement through the space was kept natural and fluid, favouring editorial poise over posed stiffness—a conscious choice to reflect the effortless utility of the Pandion range.

Precision and Detail in Every Frame

From the subtle curve of a shoulder strap to the tailored lines of each pack’s silhouette, great care was taken to honour Osprey’s product integrity. Packs were carefully stuffed to retain shape without distortion, straps neatly managed, and features subtly highlighted in line with usage and context—echoing the brand’s emphasis on form and function.

A Quiet Confidence in Every Image

This shoot wasn’t just about showcasing a product—it was about articulating a lifestyle. One that values thoughtful design, unshakeable reliability, and the confidence to explore with intention.

From product stills to editorial compositions, each shot forms part of a cohesive visual language: one that speaks directly to the style-aware, modern explorer. We’re proud to have collaborated with Osprey to help bring their Pandion Collection to market with clarity, creativity, and purpose.
